- Complete the four wellness pledges/actions by October 31 and your paycheck credits will begin with the first pay cycle in 2015.
- Complete the pledges in November/December and you will receive your 2015 paycheck credits, but they will be delayed 4-8 weeks (or the first few pay cycles in January). These credits will not be retroactive, so do your best to complete all four pledges by 10/31!
The pledge extension has been opened up through December because the health system wants you to consider your preventive care routine all year long.
Give it Time!
If you are constantly checking your Wellness Summary to review the status of your pledges, remember it takes time for the providers to send in the claims, and it takes time for the claims to feed into the Wellness Summaries.
United Healthcare sends the claims to us the third Monday of every month so if you choose to do the Physician Wellness Visit in early August your date of service should be marked on your Summary after September 22 (remember September 1 was legal holiday and did not count as the first Monday of the month).
If you took the time to take care of yourself, we'll take the time to take care of you!

I saw my PCP for an annual visit in May 2014. My PCP takes United Healthcare. Why don't I see this pledge appear? I see the pledge for the HA and the wellness video. It's been a few months now since that annual visit. Who do I contact to resolve this?
In response to September 24 at 4:54 pm- Yes you should be able to see the date-of-service for your PCP May visit in your Wellness Summary by now. First thing to do would be to login to myuhc.com and see if your claim was filed (sent from your doctor's office to United). If not you will need to contact your doctor's office and find out what happened. If you continue to have problems, email benefits@nshs.edu with proof of your physician visit. Hope this helps!
I did contact my doctor who said he did submit a claim, and their Billing Dept confirmed it. They said they had seen this issue before, where the patient does not see the claim on their end (when I look for it on myuhc.com). What will count as proof of my ohysician visit? I've asked them to mail me an excuse letter for that day as well as a copy of the receipt for my co-payment. Will this be enough?
In response to September 26 at 10:02am - Sometimes glitches happen and that's what this sounds like. Please send your receipt to the email box benefits@nshs.edu and your summary will be updated.
Hi. It's been a couple months since I completed the Wellness video in iLearn, but I do not see it marked as complete in ESS. When should the status be updated? Thank you.
In response to Oct 1 at 8:10 am - If you viewed and submitted your Video Pledge on you iLearn Module a few months ago it should be appearing as complete on your Wellness Summary. Contact hrit@nshs.edu if you have questions about how to accurately submit the Video for credit or contact hrservicecenter@nshs.edu with your date of completion. Thank you for you interest in the program.
I have concerns about HIPPA with regard to the NSLIJ plan getting info directly from UHC. Where did we ever sign stating that this info can be released to our benefits department? These seems like a violation of my privacy.
In response to December 4 at 8:39 am: It is justified that you have concerns about the sharing of your health information. Let's clarify: the carriers (United Healthcare, Cigna and Davis Vision) send your date-of-service data with a code attached, describing what the reason for your visit was: example, if you are having a mammogram - the date-of-service along with the code for mammogram is then sent to a data feed and fed into your Wellness Summary. No results or health information is shared with anyone. Your health information is confidential and secure. For more information on the health system privacy policies, refer to HealthPort.
